Wolf Mask Part 1

Description

Here is a step by step (or at least all the steps I remembered to snap a picture of)

I studied many of the tutorials I could find here on deviant, to help me fix everything I did wrong with last years fur suit. Ha, figure that, research then build, what a strange concept :3

Any hoo, Hope this helps anyone starting their halloween costume builds.

Kinda wanted the ears to be a little more "splicer mask" than realistic wolf ears. When I draw my OC Lillith as a werewolf she has long ears that hang back, not up. Just my take on a werewolf mask.

EDIT: I have had some helpful suggestions to a different glue mix than in my tutorial. The Mix I used works well but is not waterproof. If you spray clear coat on it (ie waterproof it), then its fine.

Here is a suggestion from ~Alyssa-Ravenwood:
The glue is "sculpt or coat" by the company sculptural arts. The glue works great on all types of materials. It works great for fabric mache. [link]

Or another idea is to use wood glue (good option cuz it can be found at any hardware store). The forum I found this on, remarked how durable their mask/armor was in LARP action.

EDIT 2: I think I made a bigger deal out of being waterproof than necessary. After dancing for 2 hours straight with the mask partially on (flipped up on top of my head, my dreads kept it from falling off), The mask was definitely sweaty and damp inside, but it came through like a champ. No stretching or distorting, and none of the hard items glued to the mask form came lose. So if you are stretched for time or budget, flour + water + cheap glue did not self destruct after a few nights of parties.

How durable is the cloth mache?
I've never heard of it before.
